Threads has one of the clearest published API ceilings of any platform, and an endpoint that tells you exactly where you stand against it.

API cap: 250 posts per profile per 24h

Each Threads profile is limited to 250 API-published posts in a rolling 24-hour window (replies have a separate 1,000/24h quota; manual in-app posts do not count). Checkable via the threads_publishing_limit endpoint (quota_total 250, quota_duration 86400s).

What to do: Cap automated Threads publishing at 250 posts per profile per day and poll threads_publishing_limit to check remaining headroom.
